The original West Lodge is a large stone built country house with extensive grounds and was
originally used for the delivery of care at West Lodge Care home. With the opening of the new
house all services are now provided within the purpose built and equipped residence.
Within the new house there are 60 bedrooms with en-suite facilities, electronic profiling beds
and flat screen TVs. There are three lounge areas with wonderful views over the surrounding
countryside, a large, airy conservatory, a dining room and several well equipped clinical rooms
to provide medical assistance. There is also a dedicated hair salon and lift access to all floors.
The landscaped grounds that surround West Lodge are well kept and easily accessible by residents. They
include extensive lawns, woodland and patio areas. Facilities in the village of Billy Row include a
Post Office, general store, pub and church all centred around the village green. The market town of Crook
is less than 2 miles away with regular bus links there and further afield to Bishop Aukland, Weardale,
Darlington, Durham and Newcastle.
All in all West Lodge is wonderfully situated and ideally suited to a relaxing and stress free lifestyle.
