The most fundamental role we play in our residence lives is to nurture their health and help them maintain their lifestyle and interests.

To do this we ensure every resident is accurately assessed for their needs and this is recorded within their care plan so that the care home is able to meet those needs consistently. This includes nutritional and medical requirements. If a resident requires medicines these can either be managed by the resident themselves if they are able or if not, through our careful support. We have well equipped clinical areas within West Lodge and a clear method or recording and giving medicines. Every resident has a named nurse responsible for their care and care planning which is assessed and updated regularly.

Our professional nursing team provide 24 hour cover for all of our residence and are supported by our team of qualified care staff. All of the registered nurses are clinically experienced so a high level of medical care can be provided on site.

West Lodge is also well served with two large hospitals and NHS health centres within easy reach.
